WEATHER IN PITLOCHRY
The weather in Pitlochry is pretty much like the rest of the UK. Pitlochry enjoys what's called a "Maritime Climate" which means we have cool summers and mild winters (although things have been a little different in recent years!).
The nearest official Met Office weather station where records are taken is opposite the Fisheries Lab, located in the nearby Faskally Woods.
Typically the warmest day in Pitlochry can rise to 26 degrees C (79 F) and
the coldest night can fall to minus 10 degrees C (12 F).

Rated by the millions of reviewers on the Tripadvisor site, we started 2012 with the fantastic news that we had won our THIRD Tripadvisor Travellers Choice award, having previously won in 2009 & 2010. We have approaching 800 reviews on Tripadvisor.

LATEROOMS.COM - BEST KEPT SECRET AWARDS
Next up was the Laterooms.com Best Kept Secret Awards 2012. Laterooms.com is one of the Internet's largest on line booking sites, and we were proud to be shortlisted in the Summer with only two other UK hotel properties for this national award.
Sadly we didn't win the top prize, but it's great to be shortlisted!

Tripadvisor is by far and away the largest global reviewing site for bed and breakfasts, hotels and restaurants etc. Just about everyone has heard of it and they are forever in the news for all kinds of reasons. We received another accolade from Tripadvisor with this Certificate of Excellence which reflects our five star rating.
VISIT SCOTLAND SCOTTISH THISTLE AWARDS 2012
Visit Scotland is our national tourist board. Government funded, they are responsible for representing and promoting Scotland on a global stage. A job they do very well. Their Scottish Thistle Awards competition recognises and celebrates the best of Scotland's hospitality businesses in hotels, restaurants, attractions, events and marketing initiatives. We were shortlisted in our Eastern region in April and won the regional award for best Guesthouse and Bed & Breakfast. This put us through to the finals with three other regions which took place at The Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in November. Unfortunately, we did not win the top Scottish Thistle award, but were happy to have found ourselves up with the top four finalists in our category

The Perthshire Chamber of Commerce is a highly active chamber representing the interests of local businesses and promoting and lobbying where required for the many different businesses that reside and operate in this fantastic, beautiful county. Their annual Star Awards program recognises and rewards what, in their opinion, are the best annual businesses in the county. Hosted at The Crieff Hydro in November we were absolutely thrilled to pick up the Star Award for Tourism and Hospitality 2012
